When you install Otto we don't inject any code into your theme. The scripts we use are only active when you explicitly add an Otto app block to your theme.

When you are using an Otto app block we load a very light amount of javascript and css into your theme. This ensures the component functions as expected.

The images loaded into your site from Otto are pulled directly from the Files section of the Shopify admin. By pulling them from the admin we take advantage of Shopify's image performance techniques and cdn storage.

We've been audited by the Shopify app team and can confirm that the app has a minimal impact on site speed.
